24 Hour Relay - UPDATE

Post date: Aug 30, 2019 11:32:49 PM

Back on June 18th and 19th, our Claremont Cross Country Team athletes participated in the 24-Hour Relay. This team tradition is held at the CHS Track and focuses on team bonding, dedication and accountability, all while raising money for a charitable organization. Through their dedication and your family support this year, the team raised an amazing $2,500 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training! Team leaders recently met with Meredyth Gonzalez, campaign manager of LLS Team In Training and Virginia Gardner, a Claremont resident and leukemia survivor, to commemorate this accomplishment. Virginia Gardner shared her story of how over 20 years ago LLS provided the assistance, access to treatments and specialized medication needed to help her battle Leukemia. Team In Training is part of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the largest non-profit voluntary health agency dedicated to creating a world without blood cancers. They help fund research for finding cures and treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. The Claremont Cross Country Team is proud to have been able to help this admirable organization in 2019, and we thank all of our CXCP parents and families for donating and supporting the team.
